Annual General Meeting 7.30pm, Tuesday 29 September 2009, Moutere Hills Community Centre

classicmhillsThe Moutere Hills Community Centre is governed by a Board, elected at the AGM in September each year. Do you have the skills, motivation and interest to be part of this great group? This year we’re looking for a new treasurer plus a new board member.

The Board has met monthly during the last year to develop the Centre’s strategic plan, monitor outcomes and develop policies which support the mission to facilitate the best possible social, cultural, recreational and sporting opportunities for the wider Moutere Hills community.

Professional governance training has been provided which has been key to developing skills and understanding the role of Board members. A comprehensive manual is now available for new comers.

With the development of the facility over the last three years, the Constitution needed updating. This has been completed and is to be ratified at a Special General Meeting in late August. This will provide the Centre with stronger direction and formalised compliance.

During the last twelve months the Board has met monthly and comprised: Steve Mitchell (Chair), Alan Archibald (Treasurer), Pat Hyatt, Tim Finn, Beverley Mockett, Mike Prendergast, Janette Stevens, Jeannette Bent. The Centre Manager, Michelle MacNeil acts as secretary for Board meetings.

The development of the Moutere Hills Community Centre has been a magnificent community effort which is evidenced by the comprehensive weekly programme now operating.

Come and meet with us all – the Board, workers and user groups.
